I only make $36,000 how much house can i Afford?

I don’t make much and i live in Miami,Fl where houses are ridiculously overpriced! I found pre-construction downtown from the 160’s to 250’s. i would love to own but is this unrealistic and dangerous? i have excellent credit.
Well I have always lived in Miami, and am currently living with my family. So I don’t pay rent, and my monthly expenses are basically my car and cell phone. and about $1000 in Credit card debt. Thats about it.
how does pre-construction work though? do you immediately start paying a mortgage or is it just the construction and contract deposit at first to reserve?
$140,000 doesn’t exist in miami unless you live in a hole. thats the problem.

that means if i add someone elses income then we can pay 800 per month in a mortgage and the house would be like 60000 dollars. thats even steven by my book
houses where i saw are going for reasonable
and half of that so it will work out well.

We are interested in a house that we think we can get for $275k. We would put 20% down and have a 220k mortgage. This will be no problem with our dual salary, but we’re thinking that I will stay home when we have kids in a couple years. What salary do you think is appropriate for a 220k mortgage? We need to know what my husband would have to make.

My household is making 160,000 and after we pay off the loans and living expense we have around 33,000 left each year. We have inherited 120,000 recently and we are considering using that as a down payment. We are in our mid thirties now. We are wondering how expensive of a house can we afford and how many years of mortgage period should we consider? How much do you suggest we pay each month? Thanks!
